Nazareth to Offer Graduate Business Degree in Leadership and Change Management

The new master's degree at Nazareth will hone leadership skills so employees can inspire meaningful change, exceed goals, and advance their career.

Rochester, NY (05/23/2018) — In today's fast-paced business world, adapting to change is a quality any successful organization needs. Nazareth College's School of Management is starting an innovative new graduate program, a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Change Management, that will teach professionals in the program to be successful at helping their organization implement any change.

Beginning in the fall 2018, the new program consists of 11 courses and 33 credit hours. The program is ideal for early to mid-career professionals looking for professional development. Students will learn to lead and manage better, produce meaningful change, and improve the ability to advance their career.

The program is delivered through a combination of classroom, hybrid, and online courses. It is an individually paced program that students can begin in the fall, spring, or summer and complete in as little as twenty months.

The Master of Science in Leadership & Change Management has a strong emphasis on the human capital side of management and its long-term role in creating successful organizations. This is a sharp distinction from the traditional MBA degree that tends to place a greater emphasis on the technical, financial and quantitative aspects of business.

Gerard F. Zappia, School of Management dean, says this degree will teach graduates how to improve their organization's work environment so employees can do their best. "Learn about the leadership and management practices that foster employee motivation, morale, and performance."
