Hundreds of Nazareth students head out to the Rochester community for Naz in Action Day, August 22
Rochester, NY (08/22/2024) — Nazareth University's new students are heading out into the Rochester community for Naz in Action Day. The students will be assigned to one of more than 30 community partners for a day of service. From sorting clothing donations to assisting with backpack and school supply distribution, Naz in Action introduces new students to the wider Rochester area community of which they are now a member and to community engagement opportunities and career paths that support our Rochester community.
WHEN: Thursday, August 22 | students arrive at sites between 1-1:30 p.m. and finish between 3:30-4 p.m.

Compeer | 259 Monroe Avenue: Prepare social media campaign on mental wellness and loneliness
English Village School | 800 Tait Avenue, Greece: Back to School Bash preparation
Ibero-American Development Corporation | 828 N. Clinton Ave: yard work at the International Plaza (La Marketa)
Rochester Hope | 869 N Clinton Ave: food pantry and clothing distribution preparation
Veterans Outreach Center | Mendon Ponds Park, 95 Douglas Rd (Stewart Lodge) Honeoye Falls, NY 14472: race preparation and set-up for Pound the Ground 5K in Mendon Ponds Park
