Nazareth College history honors students recently traveled to Pennsylvania to present at the eastern Pennsylvania and central/western New York Regional Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society conference at Mansfield University. Nazareth was among 10 colleges and universities presenting a total of 34 papers.

Nazareth's chapter of the national Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society has 21 new members inducted in spring 2023.

Nazareth College inducted its seventh class into the College's chapter of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi-the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society.

Our twenty-fifth Pi Mu Epsilon induction ceremony was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2020. However, due to stay at home orders imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony needed to be cancelled. This didn't stop the Mathematics Department from moving forward with the ceremony, even though it was limited to Zoom contact only and didn't include families to celebrate this achievement. On April 28, 2020, the new inductees to Pi Mu Epsilon were sworn in by Dr. Heather Lewis, Faculty Advisor to New York Alpha Eta, Nazareth College's chapter. Strength of performance in mathematics courses and overall academic achievement are the basis for nomination of students into Pi Mu Epsilon.

Nazareth College recently inducted its sixth class into the College's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi-the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society.

Nazareth College's chapter of the Pi Delta Phi national French Honor Society inducted five new members in a special ceremony on May 1. Pi Delta Phi is the National French Honor Society for undergraduate and graduate students at accredited public and private colleges and universities in the United States and is the highest academic honor in the field of French.

Nazareth College inducted its fifth class into the College's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi-the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society.

Nazareth College recently inducted seven new occupational therapy majors into it's chapter of the national Pi Theta Epsilon (PTE) honor society, which recognizes and encourages scholastic excellence in occupational therapy students.

Six members of Nazareth College's national history honor society presented original research papers at the New York/West Central Regional Phi Alpha Theta History Conference at the University of Buffalo in mid-April. The students include: Joshua Fess, Freddy Stein, Erika Klock, Sarah Dugas, Jacob Kabat, and Jessica McCane. There were 52 papers presented by students representing 13 colleges and universities in New York, Pennsylvania, and Canada. Joshua Fess won a "Best of the Conference" for his paper titled Regimental Trivialization: The Lost Legacy of Rochester's Eighth New York Volunteer Cavalry. Phi Alpha Theta is honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society boasts over 400,000 members with around 9,000 new members joining each year through 970 national chapters.

Nazareth College recently inducted its 2018 Class into the New York Phi chapter of Pi Gamma Mu, a national social science honor society.

The Pi Delta Phi National French Honor Society has welcomed new members from Nazareth College. Nazareth's Delta Iota Chapter was created in 1965 to recognize outstanding scholarship in the French language. Pi Delta Phi is the oldest academic honor society for a modern foreign language in the United States and admission to the society is the highest academic honor in the field of French.

Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society. The Society's mission is "to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others." Membership to Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation only to the top 7.5 percent of juniors and the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students, along with faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.

Nazareth College inducted its 2017 members into Lambda Pi Eta in the spring. This honor society is focused on recognizing outstanding achievement and stimulating interest in the communication discipline.

Several Nazareth College students were inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society. Lambda Pi Eta has active society chapters around the world. This honor society is focused on recognizing outstanding achievement and stimulating interest in the communication discipline.

Three Nazareth College students were inducted into the Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society. This honor society is focused on recognizing outstanding achievement in English language, literature and writing.
