Peppard is the author of Just Water: Theology, Ethics, and the Global Water Crisis (2014), which analyzes global fresh water scarcities and mobilizes resources from Catholic social teaching toward a constructive project of water ethics. She is co-editor of Just Sustainability: Ecology, Technology, and Resource Extraction (2015), a volume that draws together nearly 30 contributors from approximately 20 countries and six continents in order to generate truly global, yet representatively local, perspectives on the structures and theological/ethical relations that contribute to environmental change in the present day. In 2013, she received the Catherine Mowry LaCugna Award from the Catholic Theological Society of America. As both public intellectual and public/social media educator, she stimulates discussion of environmental issues in venues such as TED-Ed, The New Republic, Public Radio International, The Washington Post, MSNBC, and CNN.com.
