Nazareth University's Fall applications reach record levels

Rochester, NY (04/15/2024) — As Nazareth University celebrates its centennial, it is making history with the largest number of applications in the school's 100 years - more than 5,000 - representing all 50 states and 70 countries.
Nazareth held its final NazBound admitted student day on Monday, and the university is seeing historically high interest from college-bound students and their families. Nazareth is seeing the largest attendance for NazBound days since 2017.
Even with the FAFSA delays for college students across the country, Nazareth is proud of its success.
- The Class of 2028 is academically competitive with Nazareth seeing a 38% increase in students being awarded the presidential scholarship, the university's highest scholarship based on a high school senior's GPA
- 40 % of Nazareth applicants identify as BIPOC students
- 31% of new applications are first generation, doubled from 2023
The Class of 2028 is the first group of students applying since Nazareth became a university
