Nazareth University's 11th President Maureen Finney Hosts Deskside Media Chat on First Day in Office

Special media access to Nazareth's new president as she discusses institutional vision, preliminary plans, and priorities for her first 100 days in office

Rochester, NY (06/26/2026) — Nazareth University's 11th President Maureen Finney is inviting the media to join her for a Deskside Chat on her first day leading the University. This Deskside Chat will offer special access to President Finney as she outlines her institutional vision, preliminary plans, and priorities for her first 100 days and beyond. President Finney will also discuss and answer questions regarding Nazareth's progress on enrollment, financial strength, community engagement, and the evolution of its academic offerings.

Prior to the Deskside Chat, President Finney will also participate in a campus community Meet & Greet at the Nazareth Fountain. Media are welcome to capture video of her chatting with students, faculty, staff and other friends/partners of Nazareth.

After serving as Nazareth's provost since 2022. President Finney was selected as Nazareth's next president after a rigorous national search. She started her career as a physician assistant and is now the first female physician assistant in the nation to lead a college or university. President Finney has forged a unique, diverse career, with experience in both higher education and community health care, that will inform and enhance her approach to the role of president.
