Nazareth University holds Martin Luther King Jr. campus celebrations

Rochester, NY (01/17/2025) — Nazareth University is celebrating the life and work of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with several campus celebrations. While the university is closed on Monday, Jan. 20 to honor MLK, the media is welcome to attend the following events starting Tuesday.

Voices of Strength: The Women Beside MLK Jr.
Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 12:10-1 p.m. in the Shults Center Forum

A lunch discussion around the impact and influence of women in Martin Luther King Jr.'s life - Coretta Scott King (his wife), Alberta Williams King (his mother), and Christine King Farris (his sister).

The MLK campus-wide commemoration
Thursday, Jan. 23, from 12:10-1 p.m. in the Linehan Chapel, Golisano Academic Center

Join the campus-wide commemoration of "The Dream of the Beloved Community," including voices of students, staff, and faculty.
