Nazareth College Welcomes New Students for Move-In Day, August 26

Rochester, NY (08/25/2021) — President Beth Paul and the staff and faculty of Nazareth College are excited to welcome the Class of 2025 on Move-in Day Thursday, August 26. More than 600 first-year and transfer students will spend the day moving into their residence halls, attending a welcome barbeque with the president, and cap off their first night on campus with a special convocation and candlelight ceremony and a carnival-style Flyer Fest.

Undergraduates and graduate students total 800+ new students on campus!

Nazareth is thrilled to move forward with a robust, in-person experience for its entire community this fall. Two months after Naz announced a requirement for students, faculty, staff, and contracted employees to complete COVID-19 vaccination and provide documentation, 97 percent of students are vaccinated, and 3 percent received approved exemptions. Nazareth currently has an added layer of protection for its community by requiring face coverings inside campus buildings due to the COVID-19 transmission rates in the area, per federal and county public health recommendations.

Class of 2025:

519 new first-year students

86% of students are residents of NYS

25 states are represented

68 students are first-generation students

15% are from diverse populations

Returning students move in August 28-29, and students begin classes on Monday, August 30.

MEDIA: You are welcome to join us on campus to capture the Nazareth move-in experience! Please contact: Julie Long, Nazareth Public Relations, at (585) 781-8186 and she will meet you.
