Nazareth College hosts a Concert for Ukraine, March 26

This concert will feature works of Ukrainian composers, along with the first performance of Vivaldi's Stabat Mater with text translated to the Ukrainian language by Nazareth political science professor Olena Prokopovych.

Rochester, NY (03/24/2022) — Nazareth College is showing its support by hosting A Concert for Ukraine, Saturday, March 26, in the Linehan Chapel in the Golisano Academic Center on campus. This concert will feature works of Ukrainian composers, along with the first performance of Vivaldi's Stabat Mater with text translated to the Ukrainian language by Nazareth political science professor Olena Prokopovych, Ph.D., who will also perform the piece with a chamber group of musicians. The concert presents performances by the Nazareth College Choirs singing Prayer for Ukraine, faculty members of Nazareth College School of Music and Eastman School of Music, and members of the greater-Rochester Ukrainian-American community.

All proceeds will go directly to Rochester's ROC Maidan, a non-profit organization that is a part of the Ukrainian Cultural Center of Rochester. Funds will be used to ship needed medical supplies to Ukraine.

WHEN: Saturday, March 26, 6:30 - 8 p.m.

WHERE: Nazareth College, Golisano Academic Center, Linehan Chapel

Parking is in R lot in front of Golisano Academic Center or in Q lot along the side of Golisano.
