"America's Got Talent" and "American Idol" alums team up for their first concert together in Western NY

Daniel Emmet and Pia Toscano to perform at Nazareth

Rochester, NY (05/04/2023) — Nazareth Arts Center welcomes powerhouse singing sensations America's Got Talent finalist and Rochester native Daniel Emmet and American Idol finalist and Queens, NY native Pia Toscano to headline together for the first time in Western New York for an exclusive one-night-only engagement of their concert Daniel Emmet & Pia Toscano: Simply the Best at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, in Callahan Theater on the Nazareth College campus, 4245 East Ave.

The duo, will perform an evening of duets and fan favorite solos from a setlist of reimagined, beloved classics alongside newfound favorites, drawing influences from multiple genres (pop, classical, rock, and Broadway). This show has received rave reviews, and after premiering in Las Vegas and airing nationwide in its critically acclaimed run on PBS, is now touring across the United States.

The concert embodies "Simply The Best" music from across the generations, bringing together the highest level artistry, versatility, and undeniable magnetism that this powerful pair possesses, promising an unforgettable evening.

Toscano and Emmet will take you on a musical journey from breathtaking ballads, to upbeat rock classics, including some of the greatest hits from The Beatles, Elvis, The Righteous Brothers, Celine Dion, Puccini, Tina Turner, and so much more, all intertwined with personal memories and humor, leaving you absolutely breathless.

The pair are bonafide stars who embody elegance, beauty, and show-stopping, powerhouse vocals. Toscano appeared as a finalist on American Idol in season 10, toured with Andrea Bocelli and with American Idol Live's Jennifer Lopez, and has performed on The Ellen Show, The Tonight Show, Live with Regis & Kelly, Good Morning America, Netflix, PBS, and many more. She recently released her debut album titled, I'm Good, on which the lead single, Walk Through The Fire, was written by Usher and Nasri from Magic, and produced by Nasri and Adam Messinger.

Emmet appeared as a finalist on America's Got Talent in season 13, and returned last June with his viral performances as the "Singing Voice of Simon Cowell," collaborating with technology sensations Metaphysic. He has toured with Marie Osmond, headlined at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and has performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the CW, Lifetime TV, Fox Sports, ESPN+, and PBS. He recently released his first studio album, Daniel Emmet, which debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Classical Crossover Albums Chart, and at number one on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Albums Chart.

Joining them on tour is 16x Grammy Award winner and producer David Foster.

Tickets for Daniel Emmet & Pia Toscano: Simply the Best go on sale Friday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are available for purchase online by visiting naz.edu/arts-center or by calling the Nazareth Arts Center Box Office at 585-389-2068. Reserved seated ticket prices range from $39.95 - $79.95, plus applicable tax and fees.

A limited number of VIP Meet & Greet add-ons will be available for $45, plus applicable tax and fees (must be in conjunction with the purchase of a ticket). Meet & Greet includes photo opportunity with Pia & Daniel, official VIP laminate, and a signed CD of their album, recorded live from their PBS special, Simply The Best.
