Pat Metheny, Ben Folds, and Josh Ritter headline Concerts at Beston Hall at Nazareth University this fall

Rochester, NY (09/02/2025) — This fall, Nazareth Art Center is continuing its legacy as Rochester's preeminent art and performing arts destination as it welcomes several nationally and internationally prominent musical talents for the second season of Concerts at Beston Hall- a collaboration between Point of the Bluff Vineyards and Nazareth University.

The Fall 2025 Concerts at Beston Hall series kicks off on October 7 with 20-time Grammy Award winning guitarist Pat Metheny and his Dream Box/Moon Dial Tour; former Ben Folds Five frontman and artistic adviser to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center pianist Ben Folds & A Piano Tour will perform on Oct. 19; and critically acclaimed Americana singer/songwriter Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band will appear on Nov. 1. The Concerts at Beston Hall collaboration began in fall 2024, bringing premier concerts to the Nazareth campus at the Glazer Music Performance Center's Beston Hall, including Grammy Award-winning singer Paula Cole and Juno Award-winning jazz guitarist Jesse Cook. Select show in the series also provides Nazareth students with unique experiential learning opportunities behind the scenes of the music industry, from production, marketing, tour management, and performance.

Legendary guitarist and composer Pat Metheny, winner of 20 Grammy Awards in 10 different categories, will give an intimate concert like no other Metheny performance before. Playing over a dozen guitars, Metheny will offer songs from his past and recent recordings, Dream Box and MoonDial, all given further dimension by the rare storytelling Pat shares with the audience.

Ben Folds & A Piano Tour: Oct. 19

Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of this generation. The Emmy award-nominated singer-songwriter-composer has created an enormous body of genre-bending music, including pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records.

His latest pop solo album was released in 2023 to rave reviews and sold-out performances. He released his first Christmas album in 2024 and last fall recorded a LIVE album slated for release in 2025 with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., where he served for eight years as the first artistic adviser to the NSO. He currently tours as a pop artist, while also performing with some of the world's greatest symphony orchestras.

A New York Times bestselling author and former podcast host, Folds is working on new compositions for film, TV, and theater. He also frequently guest stars in films and on TV.

In 2022, Folds launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled "Keys For Kids," which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that offer free or affordable piano lessons to school-age children from economically disadvantaged households. He continually advocates improving public policies for the arts and arts education on the national level as a member of Americans For The Arts and the Arts Action Fund.

Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band, Nov. 1

Josh Ritter's songs capture life - the ups, downs, and hard-to-describe moments in between. With melody and rhyme, Ritter chronicles what it's like to be alive. Considered one of America's preeminent songwriters, Ritter has toured with and written songs for the legendary Joan Baez, been covered by Bob Dylan (during international shows in 2023), shared the stage with the late, great John Prine, and written songs for solo recordings by Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. Ritter has a new album, "I Believe in You, My Honeydew." He has performed with the Royal City Band since 2010. Beston Hall at Nazareth University is one of the first stops on their new tour.
