Nazareth University welcomes its first-ever physician assistant students to campus, Jan. 15
Hybrid program draws students from nine states
Rochester, NY (01/13/2026) — WHAT: Nazareth University's first cohort of students in its new physician assistants master's program is getting a big welcome to campus this week. The group of 30 graduate students is coming from nine states, ranging from as far south as Florida, as far north as Michigan, and as far west as Nevada.
Nazareth's physician assistant program is one of the few hybrid programs in the U.S. - blending online and on-campus learning to make it accessible to students from across the United States. Year one is remote and short-term in-person immersive education. Year two is full-time, in-person supervised clinical practice at sites in Rochester and beyond.
