THE PERFORMANCE

"…every nuance, all the drum parts, and the singer has Sting down to a tee…" -Stewart Copeland (drummer/founder, The Police)

"…all of sudden I was transported back to 1983…they knew every single Police song perfectly…" -Taylor Hawkins (drummer, Foo Fighters)

The Police Experience is the world's most authentic tribute band performing the music of the Grammy Award-winning new-wave band, The Police-having even been joined on stage by Stewart Copeland, the original band's drummer. The trio has been the subject of an award-winning documentary and a BBC story on tribute bands, and performed at pre- and after-show parties during The Police's July 2007 reunion tour appearance at Fenway Park.

Based in Los Angeles, The Police Experience performs worldwide, transporting audiences back to the 1980s with more than 40 hits, including "Roxanne," "Walking On The Moon," "Every Breath You Take," "Don't Stand So Close to Me," and more!

DAVID RASNER (bass/keys/vocals) is an actor/musician who spent most of his spare time playing guitar and singing blues for various bands before he picked up a bass with The Police Experience. He has always approached The Police Experience as a play, and has dedicated a tremendous amount of time studying the "role" of Sting. David received his M.F.A. from the American Conservatory Theater and was a regular in Bay Area theaters including the American Conservatory Theater, The Magic Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Also a successful voice-over artist, David's credits include numerous commercials, video games, and HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. A talented vocal mimic, (has voiced actors such as Antonio Banderas and L.L. Cool J), and a long-time fan of The Police, it was second nature to sound like Sting. He even lent his Sting impersonation to a villain named Steng on the Zatch Bell series. To add one more parallel to Sting, David received his masters in teaching from Bard College and is a full-time English teacher.

MIKE NIELAND (drums/vocals) picked up his first pair of sticks at age 4 as part of a Christmas present from his father. Mike followed a fairly traditional path through school bands and theater, and has the remarkable ability to copy Stewart Copeland's complicated drum style note for note. As a result, he has been featured in the international drum press discussing Copeland's technique, and in 2007 had the opportunity to interview Copeland for Guitar Center's GC BACKSTAGE viral video series.

JIMBO HEAD (guitars/vocals) was born in Virginia Beach, and spent his formative years in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he fronted an acoustic death metal band, before eventually moving to L.A.
