Rochester, NY (03/15/2024) — WHAT: Nazareth University's centennial celebration continues with a full-day summit bringing some of technology's top minds together as it hosts Responsible AI: What's Next in AI Leadership and Innovation on April 3, at Nazareth. Through presentations and panel discussions, this event will explore the forefront of artificial intelligence advancements while emphasizing how ethical leadership and product innovation need to be a part of its evolution. Attendees will engage with experts in entrepreneurship, operations, entertainment, marketing, human resources, and more to gain actionable insights about the responsible use of artificial intelligence in our lives and in our work. 10:15 a.m. Justin Sargent - To Use or Not to Use: The Age of EntertAInment | Actor and director Justin Sargent, who has starred on Broadway (Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark) and in numerous TV and film roles, (Jesus Christ Superstar: Live on NBC and Law & Order: SVU) presents a session from the perspective of those in the entertainment industry directly impacted by generative AI.
11 a.m. Scott Ford - Shaping the Future: Generative AI's Transformative Role in Innovation | In this session, former TechStars chief operating officer and venture capitalist Scott Ford will delve into the revolutionary effects of generative AI on innovation.

4:15 p.m. Kevin Graham - AI, Machine Learning, the Need for a Diverse Workforce and Inclusive Workplace | Kevin Graham '10, '12G, director of Break Through Tech AI at UCLA, a program that helps underrepresented groups in tech to gain the skills needed to get jobs, will tackle the critical need for diversity in the AI field. Graham started his educational journey in Rochester, earning a bachelor's and a master's degree at Nazareth.
