ROCHESTER, NY (03/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College Department of Art senior, Meghan Machaby, of North Tonawanda, NY received her first Gold ADDY Award and a $500 scholarship in the Student: Sales Promotion-Packaging Category for her Black Rabbit beverage labels.

Others to receive an ADDY include Nazareth College alumni, Steve Wehner and Elliott Kirby, creative director and art director, respectively, at Butler/Till, and Nazareth College Department of Art Assistant Professor, Sherri Baker Hamilton.

The ADDY Awards, sponsored by the Rochester Advertising Federation (RAF), are a competition with a wide range of categories including advertising, sales promotion, television, and radio. This most recent ADDY Awards competition saw more than 30 students submit their work in an attempt to be recognized for their talent and the chance to have their project advance to larger competitions. Those who received gold, like Meghan, will have their projects submitted to the District Level competition.

Meghan is excited to have won. "This has been very exciting for me, and it is such a great honor to have won an ADDY. I have worked so hard over the past four years, and this has made me feel like all of my hard work has paid off!"
