Diego Abreu Bravo of Guarenas, Venezuela, Earns Empire 8 Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Honor

Diego Abreu Bravo of Guarenas, Venezuela, has earned Empire 8 Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor for the period ending 10/20/2014. Abreu, a freshman goalkeeper, made 23 saves last week as the Golden Flyers split a pair of games. He had 11 saves, including four from point-blank range, in a 2-0 non-conference loss to Bryant & Stratton. He added a career-high 12 saves in a 2-0 win over Utica for his first career shutout.

Abreu is a freshman occupational therapy major at Nazareth College is and playing in his first season as a Golden Flyer.
