Alexandra Bruno of Ballston Spa among performers in Nazareth College Department of Music's HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

The Nazareth College Department of Music's 2014-2015 Concert Series continues with its annual Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilmot Recital Hall. The concert will feature faculty and student performers, multiple readings of spooky short stories, and a performance by a local children's chorus. In the spirit of Halloween, guests are encouraged to dress in costume and join the musicians for a post-concert reception. In addition, donations will be accepted for the Pittsford Food Cupboard. This event is free and open to the public; families are welcome.

Alexandra Bruno of Ballston Spa is among the performers/event organizers.

The concert will feature faculty and student performances interspersed with spooky short stories read by Nazareth College faculty. The evening will also feature a performance by the Genesee Valley Children's Choir. The musicians will perform in costume.

The Halloween Spooktacular program consists of: Toccata in D minor: J.S. Bach (1685-1750); Finale (allegro di molto) from A Midsummer Night's Dream: Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847); Night on Bald Mountain: Modest Mussorgsky (1839-1881); Morbid Obsession arr. Anastasia Polashenski; Der Erlk?nig: Franz Schubert (1797-1828); Psycho: Bernard Herrmann (1911-1975); and Nightmare Fantasy Rag: William Albright (1891-1971).
