"Interdimensionality: A BFA Thesis Exhibition by Madalyn LaCava," in the Nazareth College Art Department's Colacino Gallery April 24-May 1
2015 Apr 20
The Nazareth College Art Department will present "Interdimensionality: A BFA Thesis Exhibition by Madalyn LaCava," from Friday, April 24-Friday May 1, 2015, with an opening reception Friday, April 24 from 6-8 p.m.
Although she is primarily a ceramicist and sculptor, Madalyn LaCava of Rochester has been experimenting for the past year with the incorporation of printmaking techniques and drawings to create a juxtaposition between two and three-dimensional art.
Of her work, LaCava says, "By merging my exploration of process - specifically the translation of form between two and three dimensions - with my interest in the physical representation of control, I want to blur the distinction between 2D and 3D; fine art and craft; the finished product and its creation."
