Pioneering journalist Jane Pauley headlines Naz Weekend, October 21-23 at Nazareth College

Rochester, NY (09/06/2022) — A familiar face on television, one of broadcasting's most respected journalists and host of CBS Sunday Morning, Jane Pauley is headlining Nazareth College's first-ever Naz Weekend in October. Emmy Award-winning journalist Pauley will be the keynote speaker when Nazareth welcomes all alumni, students, and families for its biggest and brightest celebration. Naz Weekend is October 21-23, and Pauley will speak on Saturday, October 22, at 10 a.m., in the Nazareth Arts Center's Callahan Theater. Starting in the 1970s as one of the few women in male-dominated newsrooms, Pauley became a symbol for professional women and working mothers worldwide. Praised by audiences for her relatable and personal messages, Pauley is a highly-regarded advocate for living large at all ages, mental health, and education.

Pauley began her network career as co-host of TODAY for thirteen years, anchored Dateline NBC for more than a decade, and hosted her own daytime program, The Jane Pauley Show.

Pauley is the recipient of multiple Emmys, the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, and the Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding achievement. Pauley is a member of the Broadcast and Cable Hall of Fame.

Pauley has written two New York Times bestsellers: a memoir, Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue (2004) and Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life (2014).

A longtime advocate in children's health and education, Pauley is a member of the board of directors of Children's Health Fund, The Mind Trust, and is a highly regarded spokesperson in mental health. She and her husband, Doonesbury cartoonist Garry Trudeau, are the parents of three grown children.
